Catwoman: Soulstealer

Catwoman: Soulstealer is a novel written by Sarah J. Maas. She is a fantasy author from the USA who is highly regarded for her Throne of Glass series with which she debuted. Her debut novel from that series came in 2012 and after that, she gave many good novels. A couple of her really good ones are Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight.

The narration of the subject title in audio is done by Julia Whelan. As always, the performer was at her best and made all the characters and the story of this novel very interesting with her strong and impactful voice.

Two years after managing to escape from the slums of Gotham City, Selina made a return as the wealthy and mysterious Holly Vanderhees. She was quick to find out that with having Batman off on a critical mission, the city looked completely ready for the taking.

In the meantime, Luke Fox was looking to prove that in the capacity of Batwing, he has got everything that it takes to help out all the people. He targeted a novice thief who teamed up with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. They both wreaked havoc together. This Catwoman was very clever in all that situation building up around her.

Selina in this title is playing a very intense and desperate cat and mouse game. There are some unexpected friendships formed which make this entire story a highly gripping one for the audience.

This one is a very refreshing story and the listeners will find themselves fully invested in it. Overall, it is a very original and highly entertaining book. It sounds so good in audio with the emphatic performance of Julia Whelan.
