The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Riddle of Ages is the fourth chapter in the Mysterious Benedict Society novel series. It is a collection of mystery and suspense stories that are apt for children and suitable for adults as well. The author of this chapter and the series is Trenton Lee Stewart. He is a fantasy author of fictional books for children where one of his good ones is The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner’s Dilemma. The narration of the book is done by Eric Pollins. This novel saw an unexpected change of narrator right in the middle of the series which was not warranted at all. This performance was way below par and comparatively, quite poorer from the performances in the previous chapters.
Some definite time has elapsed since the quartet of Sticky, Reynie, Constance, and Kate have had some challenging missions together. But, with the induction of a new member in a society along with a new threat, all four of them must reunite to tackle the dilemmas. The challenges seemed to be more dangerous than any of the previous ones. The situation this time includes Mt. Curtain, a villainous character and as well as a telepathic enemy who was tracking every move of the quartet. This will be going to be great fun for sure.
The series is building up nicely with every chapter. This is the best title so far in the series. The only major disappointment was seen with the new narrator introduced in the fourth chapter of the series.
