Another chapter of the “Dark” series comes to us loaded with action and suspense all the way. This is the thirty third part of the series by Christine Feehan and still the series has not lost its spark that was present in it on day one of the first book. Jim Frangione also has become a permanent part of the series and the listeners now have become associated with his voice quite well.
Julija lives a peaceful life when the story begins but after a few chapters we find the mage running not only to save her life but also to fulfill the purpose of her being. She tries to warn the Carpathians of the upcoming threats but this puts everyone on her tail as she runs for her life now. More to her amazement Isai Florea after coming out of the monastery after a very very long time finds in her a perfect match.
He is sure that she is the one who is the true soul mate he is looking for all those years. Though she does not show the readiness of bonding but the bond calls her from within which shows that she is really the half soul of Isai. The story of the novel reminds us about Shadow Warrior and Dark Prince as the same theme continues in this part as well.
The desperation among the characters however is increased this time intentionally by the writer and the narrator. This thing has made this part more sentimental and heart touching also it depicts the inner pain of the characters as well which is worth to listen.
