LIVE AND LET CHAI

Mysteries are usually linked to forests or old houses, this series has changed the pattern because here the mysteries are linked to a café. Everly Swan spent a lot of time in the city and she was initially happy in that life. Slowly things started to make her bored and then the scenery was just not perfect for her. Now and then she used to think about her hometown i.e Charm. It was just the perfect place to relax and settle down so Swan just packed her luggage and returned to her hometown for a permanent stay. Some thought that her decision was not wise but for her, it was the best decision she had ever made.

She opened a café near the seaside and her iced tea just rocked the entire neighborhood within no time. Things started to get better with every passing day and Swan was happy that she made the right decision in the end. Then one-day things turned in the opposite way when a dead body was found near Swan’s house. Swan didn’t know what to say because she was unaware of the cause of the incident.

When the police investigated they found a jar of tea taken from Swan’s café. This makes Swan the first suspect in this case of murder. Detective Grady Hays thinks that Swan should be arrested at once and this case just makes her business go down in a flash. Bree Baker’s Tide and Punishment and No Good Tea Goes Unpunished is also delightful stories. There is no comedy in the stories but they are written in a light mood which conveys less stress to the listeners. Narrator Therese Plummer has also kept the same thing in mind, that’s why the narration is not done harshly.
