The Lightning Thief

Son of Poseidon is living in the world of humans and quite amazingly he is not dictating terms rather he is facing bullies. He has been facing tough situations in boarding houses that are not ready to take him in because of his ill behavior. But Percy just cannot leave a friend in danger or at the mercy of stupid bullies. This last confrontation with a group of boys however has resulted in a strange happening which Percy was not expecting. Suddenly in the voice of Jesse Bernstein, we feel that the world around Percy is changing. In the past, he used to think that Greek gods only exist in the books of mythology. When Percy starts seeing those gods and other creatures of which he used to read about in books he is shocked to the core.

The problem remains the same for the poor boy as even the world of gods is not pleased with him. Zeus thinks that it is Percy Jackson who has stolen his lightning bolt and the boy has no idea what it looks like. With ten days in hand, Percy goes to the end of the world almost to get back what he has not stolen. In the process, he witnesses treachery and cheating in the world of gods as well and comes to know that the myths were right after all. Rick Riordan starts the series here which later leads to The Sea of Monsters and The Titan’s Curse. Percy Jackson gets the opportunity to meet his father for the first time. All the issues with Poseidon get resolved rather quickly but with Percy and other half-bloods in the camp situation just gets tense for Kronos.
