The Scars That Define Us

The Scars That Define Us is a romance fiction, contemporary romance, and erotic literature novel authored by M N Forgy. It is the 2nd book of the Devil’s Dust series. It is preceded by the introductory book, What Doesn’t Destroy Us. You can also check out the 3rd novel, The Fear That Divides Us.

The narration is performed by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell. They portrayed a good balance between romance and drama. It is a worthy performance and both were exceptionally great as the main characters.

The motorcycle club has a new list of threats to the club’s existence. Dani has to embrace a part of herself that she never knew existed all to please the club and prove her loyalty.

She has welcomed the sight of more blood. A sinful beast has emerged from within her. It is ready to eliminate anyone that stands in its way. Dani is looking at her stained hands as she rinses the blood from them.

Shadow is looking at life in a different light after a breathtaking turn of events. He doesn’t know who he can trust anymore. He is feeling desolate and alone. As he lays behind the rifle, he wonders if he could pull the trigger to eliminate the threat. Can he overlook Dani’s transgressions and can Dani sidestep from the mistrust he has placed upon her? As they yearn for one another, the betrayal just keeps widening.

This is a great story but the fact remains that they split one book into two for financial gain. However, now that we are in the 2nd novel, it seems to be much better than the 1st one. It is gritty, violent, and emotional, everything we’ve come to expect from the author.
