Dead to the World is the fourth book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. It is written by Charlaine Harris. It is a mystery and romance book that features vampires in a different light. If your interest is piqued, give Living Dead in Dallas a chance along with All Together Dead.

Johanna Parker’s narration of this book will make you wish she would narrate all your favorite books. Her take on this one is especially spot-on. She makes a perfect Sookie and does a phenomenal job of giving other characters a distinct personality. She will certainly make you fall in love with the down to earth telepath Sookie.

Sookie Tackhoise is a cocktail waitress in Louisiana. She can read people’s minds. Even then, she doesn’t have a lot of friends. However, vampires and similar sorts can be tough to read. That’s exactly the type of fling Sookie is looking for. That’s why when she comes across a naked vampire, she doesn’t just drive away. This vampire has no idea who he is, as he has amnesia. But all Sookie knows about him is that he’s sexy as much as he is scary. He’s sweet, vulnerable, and is in dire need of her help because whatever took his memory away now wants to end him. She has to help him at all costs.
The sizzling relationship between Sookie and Eric will surely make you fall in love with this book. This factor can make this novel the best of the series. Sookie and Eric have intense chemistry together, maybe even exceeding that with Bill. Thus, you will surely enjoy this great mystery. It is filled with humor and features vampires, werewolves, and magic aplenty.
